It was fully booked when BIMformation held an introductory course to the concept of BIM. The course was held in collaboration with Nackademin AB and Jan-Olof Edgar – one of Sweden’s foremost BIM experts, lectured on how BIM can be applied at all stages of a construction project. It was clear that BIM is not primarily about 3D models, but rather about information management and how enormous resources can be saved with correct ones.
The course is aimed at those who wish to get a brief introduction to what BIM is and how BIM can be applied at all stages of a construction project – from early room function requirements to design, production planning, production and finally hand over to management. The intro course is both a look back on “BIM evolution” where BIM expert Jan-Olof Edgar describes the CAD / BIM development as well as a look at the latest trends in digitalization such as CoClass, VR and AR.
